Support the Cats

Ways to Give

The mission of the Wild Felid Advocacy Center would not be possible without you. Every bit of support helps.

Donate

Donations are tax deductible.
EIN#: 38-3771133

You can donate via the button above, which will take you to our Paypal account (mail@wildfelids.org). Your donation can be a one-time occurrence or recurring. Donations also make great birthday gifts and ways to honor special occasions.

If you prefer to donate using a check, please mail the check to:
Wild Felid Advocacy Center of Washington
3111 E Harstine Island Rd N
Shelton, WA 98584

Your donations will typically be used for the General Operating Fund, or for the following Restricted Funds.

Animal Care Fund

The animals who reside at WFAC require a large amount of funding to cover routine expenses, such as food, vitamins, bedding, habitat construction, and habitat maintenance. The ongoing development and procurement of items to augment their living space is also considered routine. The Animal Care Fund supports the basic needs, including comfort, of the wild cats at WFAC.

Veterinary FUnd

About 30% of our feline residents are geriatric (age 15+), and many require special diets, medicines, and/or veterinary visits to manage chronic conditions. Some cats arrive in need of medical procedures or diagnosis, which can be costly. The Veterinary Fund supports the resident's varied health care needs, including veterinary visits, lab work, medications, special diets, and special habitat needs.

Enrichment fund

Behavioral and Environmental Enrichment is a priority at WFAC. Each cat's preferences are recorded in a database to help maintain a successful enrichment program. Some cat's preferences are inexpensive, while some are costly. For example Kiki (Eurasian Lynx) prefers black pepper for sensory enrichment, while Tabbi and Suri (Tigers) prefer a swimming pool. The Enrichment Fund supports giving the cats what they need to thrive.

CUrrent Special PRojects

We are always improving habitats, and we are currently making repairs to enclosures that were damaged by a large snowstorm in February. Our main projects for 2019 and beyond include:

  • Completion of repairs from the snowstorm.
  • An expansion to Durango's habitat, a cougar who arrived in 2017.
  • A new and improved tiger pool for Tabbi and Suri.

WIsh Lists

We are always in need of items to help care for our cats.
